Cawthra Road improvements
The Region of Peel has completed a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study for Cawthra Road from QEW to Eastgate Parkway in the City of Mississauga. The planned improvements will benefit all transportation modes including cyclists, pedestrians, transit users and motorists and will include:
- Safety and operational improvements to intersections;
- Separated cycle tracks, raised bike lanes and multi-use trails; and
- Separated crossing for cyclists at intersections (known as crossride)
Details of the Class EA Study can be viewed under Notice of study completion. The Class EA Study has been finalized and the project has now moved into the next phase Detailed Design & Construction.

November 26, 2020 - The Region of Peel has completed a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study for Cawthra Road from QEW to Eastgate Parkway in the City of Mississauga.
The study was conducted according to the requirements for a Schedule B project in the Municipal Engineers Association document titled Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 and 2015).
The planned improvements will benefit all transportation modes including cyclists, pedestrians, transit users and motorists and will include:
- Safety and operational improvements to intersections;
- Separated cycle tracks, raised bike lanes and multi-use trails; and
- Separated crossing for cyclists at intersections (known as “crossride”).
