    Peel Living partners

Information for organizations partnering with Peel Living to support tenants.

If you're interested in partnering with Peel Living or have a program you would like to run at a Peel Living site, you can contact us.

The Community Partnerships Framework is a guide for Peel Living staff on managing partner relationships by defining goals, roles, expectations, and outcomes in community partnership development.

Peel Living recognizes the need to maintain partnerships through a formal framework. The objective of the framework is to focus on fostering new and existing partnerships, clarifying roles and expectations, and creating tools and standards to manage and support partnerships effectively.

In 2022 and 2023, our Peel Living staff, community and municipal partners, and tenants from both family and senior buildings across all three municipalities of Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga were consulted. Feedback from these key stakeholder sessions helped shape the framework to include the following:

    • Focus on the mental health and well-being of seniors aging in place and help children and youth thrive.
    • Approach to community development and partnership.
    • Authentic collaboration and a Networked Collaboration Model.
    • Stages of partnership, development, and maintenance.
    • Stakeholder roles and responsibilities.

Peel Living will use the Community Partnerships Framework to continue to collaborate with the community and Peel Region partners. This initiative aims to give Peel tenants the opportunity to live independently, build community connections and thrive in their daily lives.

The Peel Living Partnership Toolkit is a comprehensive resource designed to support partners of Peel Housing Corporation (Peel Living) in enhancing tenant well-being and community engagement. It covers our guidelines on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, and effective strategies to help partners deliver impactful programs and services.

This toolkit provides essential guidance on:

    • Onboarding and communication.
    • Privacy and confidentiality.
    • Best practices for fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

The toolkit also includes templates, checklists and data collection tools that help partners collaborate and make continuous improvements to serve over 17,000 individuals, families, and seniors residing at Peel Living sites.

    Resources

    • Peel Living Partnership Toolkit
    • Event promotion template for activities
    • Diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) checklist for partners
    • Film and notice flyers

Peel Living is interested in learning more about the programs and services delivered by our partners.

Collecting data is an important part of understanding the programs and services provided. It helps us demonstrate the value of our partner programs, including the impact of the wide range of services offered across Peel Living locations to stakeholders, funding bodies and the community. This information also allows us to make informed decisions and improve existing services.

We are collecting data that will help us understand tenant participation in programs and events or in-unit services delivered in Peel Living buildings. The key measures for data collection are:

    • Types of services offered.
    • Number of sessions or visits completed.
    • Participation in services at Peel Living sites.

Data will be collected for the programs, events, and in-unit services delivered at Peel Living buildings. This data will be reported monthly, within each quarter.

    Reporting Process

Partners will submit one report to Peel Living for all the programs and services delivered. Reports need to be submitted each quarter using the reporting template.

Quarterly reports are due at the end of the following month after every quarter (Q1: January-March, Q2: April-June, Q3: July-September, Q4: October-December). If the last date of the reporting month falls on a weekend or holiday, the report would be due on the following business day.
