    Holiday hours

    Peel Region offices and non-emergency services will be closed for Civic Holiday on Monday, August 4, 2025, and will reopen Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

    These services are closed on public holidays:

    • Service Peel Counters
    • ServiceOntario Counter
    • Early Years and Child Care Services
    • Dental Services Contact Centre and Dental Clinics
    • Family Health Call Centre
    • Peel Harm Reduction mobile vans

    Service Peel counters will be closed Monday, August 4 and will reopen on August 5.

    The Family Health Call Centre will be closed on Monday, August 4 and will reopen on Tuesday, August 5.

    All healthy sexuality clinics are closed on Monday, August 4. Please visit the healthy sexuality clinics webpage for up-to-date information on operating hours.

    Peel Works Harm Reduction mobile vans will be closed on Monday, August 4, and return to regular operating hours on Tuesday, August 5.

    The Dental Services Contact Centre and Dental Clinics will be closed on Monday, August 4, and will reopen on Tuesday, August 5.

    Adult Day Services

    Adult Day Services at all 5 Peel Region Long Term Care Centres, including virtual Adult Day Services, will be closed on Monday, August 4 and will resume regular hours of operation on Tuesday, August 5.

    On Monday, August 4, there will be no waste collection. Waste will be picked up one day later that week. Check your collection calendar to find your pickup day or sign up to receive free waste collection reminders.

    All Community Recycling Centres will be closed on Monday, August 4 and will reopen on Tuesday, August 5.

    Half-day closures

    CRCs close at 12 p.m. on Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year’s Eve (December 31).

    Early Years and Child Care Services, including Child Care Subsidy, will be closed on Monday, August 4 and will reopen on Tuesday, August 5.

    Housing Services and Client Services will be closed on Monday, August 4 and will reopen on Tuesday, August 5.

    Ontario Works will be closed on Monday, August 4 and will reopen on Tuesday, August 5. 

    For urgent homelessness supports, including food, supplies, referrals, and shelter, call the Street Helpline 24/7 at 1-877-848-8481. For information on emergency shelter, visit the emergency shelter webpage or call 905-450-1996.

    For emergency Peel Living maintenance requests, call the 24-hour request line at 905-790-7335.

    All trips for Monday, August 4, and Tuesday, August 5, must be booked by 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 3.

    On Monday, August 4 (Civic Holiday): 

    • Call us at 905-791-1015 if you need to cancel your trip.
    • Same day trips will not be provided.
    • TransHelp will operate from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
    • The TransHelp office will be closed. Feedback and application, and payment processing will resume on Tuesday, August 5.
    • Subscription trips will be cancelled, except for dialysis trips

    We offer bookings up to 7 days in advance. Consider booking your next trip early to ensure your holiday travel.
