This service is for residents in Peel who receive curbside waste collection services and use garbage bins.
You can change the size of your garbage bin if it isn’t meeting your needs.
Your organics bin is one-size only. It cannot be changed.

Eligibility
You are eligible for this service if you have a home address in Peel that receives curbside waste collection and uses garbage bins.
What you need
To change your garbage bin size, you need to provide:
- The street address for the property that needs a larger or smaller bin.
- Your contact information.
Fees
The fee for changing the size of a bin is $25 per bin. This fee covers the cost of delivery, cleaning, and repair.
How to request a garbage bin exchange
To request a waste bin exchange, you will need to:
- Provide the address of the property that needs a larger or smaller bin.
- Identify the size of bin that you need.
- Provide your contact information.

Follow these instructions while waiting for your new bin to arrive:
- Keep using the bin you have until it is exchanged.
- Your garbage bin will be exchanged on the day after your regular garbage collection day.
- Leave your empty garbage bin at the curb, or in a location that is visible and accessible from the road.
- If your bin is not exchanged by 8 p.m. the day after your collection day, use it normally for 2 more weeks.
- On your next garbage collection day, put your bin out for collection again. Repeat this until your bin is exchanged.
You will receive a bin that has been gently used and cleaned.
