Housing development projects
Our affordable housing projects successfully contribute to the community.
- Youth Shelter relocation
The current Brampton Youth Shelter is a leased property with 40 beds. Work is underway to find a suitable property to relocate the shelter.
- East Avenue Redevelopment Project
Located in south Mississauga, the site will be redeveloped to replace 30 aging units with up to 150 new affordable rental units.
This development on the former Imperial Oil land will create 150 new affordable housing units by 2023.
- Peel Family Shelter relocation
Will provide approximately 120 beds, replacing the current 60 units/beds currently in Mississauga and adding another 60 units/beds.
- Lakeshore lofts
A third-party led project that will create 68 supportive housing units, ready for occupancy in 2021.
- Brampton Bramalea Christian Fellowship Residences Ltd. (BBCFR)
Construction is now complete at this third party-led affordable housing building in Brampton.
- 360 City Centre Drive
Now open, providing affordable rental housing to 174 families, singles and seniors.
- Mayfield Seniors Apartments
Located in Caledon, this building opened for occupancy in 2019 and provides 60 units for seniors.
