About the project

Indwell Community Homes will create 50 supportive housing units in the Clarkson community, making Creekside Apartments Indwell’s third community in Mississauga.

The building

Creekside Apartments is located at 1639 Lakeshore Road West in Ward 2 in Mississauga and is close to high-frequency bus service, social services, parks, schools, and the Clarkson Business Improvement Area (BIA) commercial corridor.

The vision

Indwell recently purchased a vacant lot at Creekside Apartments, Mississauga to develop into affordable supportive housing.

This project will support some of Mississauga’s most vulnerable who face housing insecurity including women, BIPOC (black, indigenous, and other people of colour), and those who live with mental health challenges, addiction, or physical and mental disabilities.

Creekside Apartments will include a 4-storey apartment building with 50 affordable supportive units. A supportive housing model will connect residents to health and wellness resources while creating a sense of belonging.

The building will be constructed to the energy efficient Passive House standard with shared common spaces as well as amenities, services, and ground floor commercial space. Initial concepts include an outdoor patio overlooking Turtle Creek.
