Streets affected: Harvestview Avenue, Caledon
The Region of Peel has been working in your area to install new sanitary sewers. At this stage in the project, we have completed the sanitary sewer installation on Sant Farm Drive. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to install the new sanitary sewer along Harvestview Ave.
Construction schedule update
This work on Harvestview Avenue is now scheduled to begin on January 3rd, 2023. We expect to bury the new sewer by the mid February 2023. Please note that these dates may change due to unforeseen events.
We will return in the spring of 2023 to connect all properties on the street to the new sanitary sewer. We will then repair the road, boulevard, curb or sidewalk where affected by our work. All work is under warranty for two years from the completion date.

Contractor and working hours
The work will be completed by Earth Boring Co. Limited and supported by Chisholm Fleming and Associates Consultants, both under contract to the Region of Peel. This contractor’s normal working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with the local municipality’s bylaws. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but shorter working days would require your neighbourhood to be under construction for a longer period of time.
Traffic and parking
While installing the sewer under Harvestview Avenue, will need to close the eastbound lane of Harvestview Avenue between Sant Farm Drive and Esposito Drive. The westbound lane will remain open to one-way local traffic only. Eastbound traffic will be redirected through a detour route which will be clearly marked with road signs. Residents who live on Harvestview Avenue will have access to their homes. During these lane reductions, no through traffic will be allowed. On-street parking will be reduced during construction when we are actively working on your street. We apologise for any inconvenience and delays caused by these traffic impacts.
Lane closures
While sewer installation work is underway on Harvestview Avenue, vehicles will only be able to travel west on Harvestview Avenue.
Driveway access
It may be necessary to block your driveway for a short time when crews are digging the trench for the sanitary sewer, working on your sanitary sewer connection, or completing other construction activities. If so, we will knock on your door to notify you. If a trench prevents access to your driveway, the contractor will have metal road plates available to allow access if required. Whenever possible, we will work to ensure businesses can be accessed. Please contact us if you have special needs related to access.
