Project 14-1256 – August 29, 2025 update
Streets affected: Williams Parkway from Mississauga Road to McLaughlin Road.
Advance notice and pre-design field investigation
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region will be installing new watermains in your area within the next 2 years. Watermains are underground pipes that bring tap water from our water treatment facility to your neighbourhood. As our population grows, we need to build larger watermains to provide you with high-quality water.
Before construction begins
Before we start construction, we will be in your area conducting field investigations in your neighbourhood. These will take place along Mississauga Road northwest of Williams Parkway, as well as along Williams Parkway from Mississauga Road to McLaughlin Road. Investigations will also occur on Crystal Glen Crescent from Sugarberry Drive to Tanasi Road and on Louiseburg Crescent.
- We will survey your street and use temporary spray paint or flags on roads, driveways, and lawns to locate underground gas, hydro, and cable.
- We may drill holes in the road or municipal right-of-way to collect soil samples, determine ground conditions, or confirm utility locations. The municipal right-of-way includes the street and the municipal-owned land between the street and the water service box, a small, round, metal valve located outside on the property line between your home or business and the road.
- We will take pictures and videos to help restore the area as close as possible to its former condition, after construction takes place.
We expect these activities to happen between September 2 to approximately January 2026
Consultant working hours
The work will be completed by Envision Consultants Ltd. under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws.
Traffic impacts
There may be minor traffic disruptions during these activities. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions.
Keeping you informed
We’re currently in the early planning stages, so we cannot give exact dates. As your city’s future planning activities may change, we may also update our plans. We’ll deliver more detailed information closer to the start of construction.
