What you can expect after you’ve applied for a child care subsidy.
Once you've applied, we'll send you an email to confirm we've received your application and what to do next.
Telephone meeting with a Children’s Services Worker
As part of your application:
- You will be scheduled a telephone meeting with a Children’s Services Worker.
- There are required documents you must provide before we meet. You will receive information about how to upload your required documents using your Children’s Services account before your meeting.
- If you cannot upload your documents in time for your meeting, contact us at 905-793-9200 ext. 1810 (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30) to reschedule. Phone wait times may be shorter in the morning.
If you meet all the eligibility criteria, you'll be offered a child care subsidy and you'll be given a period of time to find a licensed child care space.
