Growth management program
The Growth Management Program has an outcome focused on achieving a financially sustainable complete community, where the location and servicing of growth is optimized. This outcome is achieved through 4 key strategies:
- Managing revenues and expenditures
- Planning and managing the location and servicing of growth
- Leveraging business intelligence
- Internal and external collaboration
This integrated approach has resulted in a comprehensive framework that includes Regional Official Plan updates, water and wastewater planning and servicing, and financial and policy inputs to the development charge by-law. The Program produces an annual update report on the Region's growth trends and development charge performance and a summary of initiatives undertaken under each strategy.
