Requirements for recreational water facility operators for opening and reopening, and other resources.

Injuries and the spread of illness can be a concern when using public pools and spas. Review the information to help keep everyone safe.

Opening or reopening a recreational water facility

If you’re opening a new pool or spa water facility in Peel, Ontario regulation 565 under the Health Protection and Promotion Act requires you to notify Peel Public Health at least 14 days before opening a new facility.

If your water facility was closed for more than 4 weeks, you will need to notify us at least 14 days before your planned reopening date.
