Dead animals
This item can be hazardous to safety or health.
On public property, if you find a dead bird or animal, call the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative at 1-866-673-4781, or:
- Call 311 if you live in Brampton or Mississauga.
- Call 905-584-2272 if you live in Caledon.
If you must pick up a dead bird or animal, wear gloves, then place the bird or animal in a doubled plastic bag. Tie the bag closed, then wash your hands thoroughly. Do not place a dead animal in your recycling or organics for collection.
If you don't want to collect and dispose of the dead animal, you can hire a private business or contact a pest control agency.
