Walk-up waste collection
This service is for Peel residents who are unable, directly or through others, to place recycling, organics, or garbage bins at the curb for collection due to medical conditions.

Eligibility
You are eligible for this service if
- Your home address in Peel receives curbside waste collection and you use recycling, organics, and garbage bins.
- You have a medical condition that prevents you from bringing bins to the curb for collection.
- No other person residing at your address is also physically able to place the bins out for collection.
Our walk-up waste collection service is subject to an evaluation process.
As part of the evaluation, a Peel Region representative may visit your home to conduct a site inspection and determine the best placement of your bins for collection.
As an applicant, you must agree to all the terms and agreements to receive this service.
What you need
To request walk-up waste collection, you need to provide:
- Your property’s street address.
- Your contact information and signature.
- Your physician’s contact information and signature on the application form.
Fees
There is no cost for this service.

This service is available for temporary or permanent medical conditions.
This service does not include:
- Emptying garbage, recycling, kitchen containers from your home to your respective bins.
- Placing yard waste or bulky items out for collection.
- Removing bins for collection from locations other than the designated location.
- Providing any additional garbage or recycling collection, outside the residents’ weekly collection.
