Illegal trucking in Peel
The Town of Caledon – a leader in the commercial trucking industry – is facing an issue with illegal trucking yards and parked trucks on land that’s unauthorized for trucking purposes.
Peel Region is working with local municipalities and enforcement to monitor illegal trucking along Regional roads.
Our goal is to reduce the negative impact illegal trucking can cause, such as:
- Collisions
- Road blockages
- Congestion
- Driver confusion
- Noise
- Road damage
Report illegal trucking operations
Road restrictions and zoning restrictions help keep Peel roads safe for residents and road users.
If you suspect an Illegal trucking operation or use of property as a trucking depot, contact the Town of Caledon so it can be investigated further.
