    Who to contact

If you have any questions or need more information, email Peel Public Health or call 905-799-7700, Caledon 905-584-2216 Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you have test results that say your water is unsafe to drink, or you need help figuring out what your well water test results mean, contact Peel Public Health.

Until your well water is safe to use, drink bottled water, or treat it through boiling.

    Boiling

Pour the water into a heat-resistant container or an electric kettle without an automatic shut-off. Boil the water for at least 1 minute to kill all disease-causing organisms.

If your well water is contaminated with chemicals, boiling will not make it safe to drink. Use bottled water as a source of emergency drinking water.
