Booking a specialized travel cross-boundary trip

Cross-boundary trips take TransHelp passengers outside of Peel’s boundaries (beyond Brampton, Caledon or Mississauga). You can travel into other municipalities on a cross-boundary trip by transferring to another specialized public transit provider at a designated transfer point.

What you need

Have this information on hand when applying:

Fees

There is no fee to book cross-boundary travel.

How to book

You need to book the first and second part of your trip separately.

Step 1: Call TransHelp

Call TransHelp at 905-791-1015 to book the first part of your trip. A TransHelp representative will tell you the transfer location (transfer point) when you book the first part of your trip.

Step 2: Call the specialized transit agency

Once TransHelp has told you your transfer point, call the specialized public transit agency that provides transportation to book the second part of your trip to area you'd like to travel to (for example, Wheel-Trans, Mobility Plus, or care-A-van).

Tell the agency your transfer location (where the first part of your trip ends) and your final destination.

Be sure that you’re familiar with the policies, rules, and regulations of the specialized transit agencies (where applicable) before you book your cross-boundary travel trip.
