Children who need extra support in child care
Peel Inclusion Resource Services (PIRS) is a free service that helps children who need extra support to participate fully in licensed child care. Some children with cognitive, physical, social, emotional, communication, or behavioural needs may need extra support in child care to assist in their overall development.
PIRS resource consultants will develop a plan with you and your child care provider that focuses on your child’s strengths and areas of development. A diagnosis is not needed.
This service helps ensure a child’s experience is positive and inclusive.
