Project 14-1346 E - May 10, 2024 update

Street affected: Winston Churchill Boulevard and Unity Drive/Gate.

The Region of Peel is continuing work in your area to replace watermains along Winston Churchill Boulevard.

Some upcoming work will take place during weekends, in order to minimize the impact on traffic congestion. This work will occur in the intersection of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Unity Drive /Unity Gate. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences caused by this work.

Schedule

The City of Mississauga, under the Noise Bylaw, is allowing work to be done by our contractor during the weekends. This work is expected to take place on Saturday May 11th from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Additional days may be required due to unpredictable delays, such as poor weather conditions.

Traffic impacts

This work will require temporary partial lane closures in the intersections of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Unity Drive/Gate. Signage will be available for detour route directions.

Noise

We do not anticipate significant noise or vibrations above normal weekday construction levels during these operations. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to local residents as much as possible.

Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
