Sanitary Sewer Replacement and Improvement
Alderbury Crescent and Alexandria Crescent winter shutdown. Project 21-2300B

The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to replace the sanitary sewers on Alderbury Crescent and Alexandria Crescent.
At this time, we have:
- Replaced the sanitary sewerson Alderbury Crescent and Alexandria Crescent,
- Connected properties to the new sanitary sewers by replacing individual wastewater sewer pipes on Alderbury Crescent and Alexandria Crescent,
- Temporarily repaired the road where it was disturbed by our work,
- Repaired the driveways, curbs, sidewalk and sod (grass) where affected by the sanitary sewer replacement work.
We will be making small fixes in the coming weeks; however, most of the remaining work will be put on hold due to the weather. We will leave the construction site in a safe condition for the winter.
Schedule for remaining construction and repair work
We expect to start work again in May 2023 to complete the following:
- Grinding off and repaving the top layer of asphalt to complete road repairs,
- Repairing any areas that settle over the winter months to form potholes,
- Replacing any sod that has not rooted properly due to the dry autumn weather. As spring is the best time to plant sod, waiting until this time will provide a more favourable environment for the sod to grow.
Warranty on construction repairs
Repair work completed as part of this sanitary sewer replacement project is under warranty for two years from the completion date.
It is normal for repaired areas to settle a bit in the coming months. If you notice large potholes forming where the driveway, street, or lawn was repaired, please let us know and we will ensure the contractor fixes this before the end of the warranty period.
