Erin Mills Parkway Intersection Improvements at Dundas Street and Burnhamthorpe Road
The Region of Peel has completed the intersection improvements at Erin Mills Parkway/Dundas Street and Erin Mills Parkway/Burnhamthorpe Road.
The project scope initially required a Schedule “B” Environmental Assessment undertaking as outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment document. Through evaluation of alternatives staff determined that in the long run, traffic congestion would not be improved with full development of the intersections. The scope of work was modified and the project was downgraded from a Schedule 'B' project to a Schedule 'A+' project. The evaluation and decision-making process for the change is provided in the Presentation Slides for Change of Schedule. Schedule A+ projects are pre-approved and the improvements highlighted in the presentation slides will be implemented in the design and construction phases.
