BRAMPTON, ON (September 17, 2024) – Peel Region's 2024 Budget has received the Government Financial Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, the highest form of recognition.

This award reflects Peel’s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting, while ensuring that the budget serves as a policy document, as well as a financial plan, an operations guide, and a communications device for residents, businesses, and stakeholders.

Receiving this distinguished award is a testament to Council and Regional Staff’s dedication to transparency and accountability to residents while demonstrating successful outcomes for the community.
