Start your summer early with PAMA and community partner events this June!

Brampton, ON. (May 26, 2022) – Join PAMA and our community partners this June for a series of exciting programs ranging from Hockey Art and Watercolour Workshops to Book Club and Family Fun activities.

Here is our June line-up:

Connections Art and Book Club

In partnership with Brampton Library
Thurs. June 2, 7 p.m.

Literature and visual arts connect in this distinctive book club. Join the discussion with PAMA and Brampton Library Staff with this month's book choice: The Way the Crow Flies by Ann-Marie MacDonald.

Registration required with Brampton Library. Library cards are available for all residents of Ontario. Click the "register" icon to sign-up for the club. Once registered, you will be contacted by Brampton Library staff to schedule an in-branch pickup for the book while quantities last.

Last Chance to See

Power Play: Hockey in Contemporary Art exhibition, guest curated by Jaclyn Meloche ends on Sunday, June 12. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet one of the artists, Liz Pead, in person and create art with her!

Hockey Art Workshop with Liz Pead

Sat. June 4, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1:30 – 3 p.m.
Recommended for ages 8 – 12, guardians must accompany children.

Explore and create hockey art with artist Liz Pead, who is currently featured in PAMA's exhibition Power Play: Hockey in Contemporary Art. Seek inspiration from a personal photo, your favourite team's logo or even Liz Pead's artwork that is made entirely out of hockey gear. Take your love of hockey and use a variety of materials to make your own mixed media art.

Public: $12.50 +HST
Members: $10.60 +HST

Watercolour Workshop with the Town of Caledon

Tuesday, June 7, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. This program will be hosted at the Inglewood Community Centre.

In honor of seniors month, Age-Friendly Caledon has partnered with PAMA to offer Caledon residents aged 55+ with a free watercolour workshop. Experiment with watercolours and create a painting using different techniques. Use traditional materials and mediums to create a variety of effects. No previous experience is necessary!Register at caledon.ca/adult55 or by calling 311. Registration opens May 25, space is limited.

Watercolour Workshop with Caledon Library

Tuesday, June 21, 6:30 – 8 p.m. This program will be hosted at the Southfields Village Branch Library in Caledon.

Visit PAMA in the community! Join PAMA and Caledon Library for a watercolour workshop for adults (18+). Experiment with watercolour and create a painting using different techniques. We will use traditional materials and mediums to create a variety of effects. No previous art experience is necessary! This program will be hosted at the Southfields Village Branch Library in Caledon. Register with the Caledon Library.

June Family Fun Activity: Architectural Masterpieces!

Saturday, June 25, 1 – 4:30 p.m.

Did you know that PAMA is made up of historical buildings? Drop-in anytime between 1 – 4:30 p.m. to find out more about the history of PAMA and create an architectural masterpiece.

This program is free, but donations are welcomed. Program is subject to change due to COVID-19 community guidelines. Recommended for children ages 6 – 12, guardians must accompany children.
