What’s on virtually with PAMA this March!
Brampton, ON. (March 3, 2022) – This March, the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) offers exciting virtual programs in celebration of International Women’s Day and March Break. Enjoy virtual March Break activities, an online exhibition with inspiring stories of women from the PAMA art collections and downloadable art activities for the family.
As we celebrate March, our staff is also working hard behind-the-scenes to get everything ready for the re-opening of the Art Gallery and Courthouse on April 7. PAMA will re-open with weekly hours on Thursdays from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 – 5 p.m. Admission will be pay-what-you-can. The Museum and Archives will remain closed until Winter 2022.

We have added new stories to the Inspiring Stories of Women in the PAMA Collections Virtual exhibition! Learn about artists Rita Letendre and Pegi Nicol MacLeod, Peace Advocate Julia Morton-Marr, Memorial Cross Mother Frances Roberts and more!
PAMA Kids Virtual March Break
March 14 - 18
Join us virtually as we glide into March Break. Get a sneak peak of the Power Play: Hockey in Contemporary Art exhibition and create your own art inspired by artists in the exhibition. Download the step-by-step instructions for each Family Fun Activity and create art all week long. And, join us on March 15 for a live virtual experience!
Virtual PAMA Kids March Break Event: Meet the Guest Curator!
March 15, 2 - 3:30 p.m.
Discover and Create! Power Play: Hockey in Contemporary Art's guest curator Jaclyn Meloche will offer insights on PAMA's current exhibition and shed new light on the power of hockey and the materials that make up the game. Inspired by the art in the exhibition, you will be invited to create your own collages.
The following supplies are recommended: magazines, glue, scissors, paper and markers.
FREE, pre-registration required. Recommended for ages 8 - 12. This workshop will be hosted through Microsoft Teams. If you do not receive the link within 24-hours of registration, please contact us. Click here to register.

Discover the amazing works by Liz Pead and create your own 3D landscape. - Pinhole Camera: March 16
Be inspired by the photography in Power Play: Hockey in Contemporary Art and learn how to create a pinhole camera. - Mark Making: March 17
Make your mark! Did you know the artist Liss Platt creates her art by shooting painted hockey pucks? Create your own painting using a variety of tools and techniques. - Ice Drawings: March 18
Create art inspired by the marks that skates leave behind on the ice.
March Virtual Family Fun Activity
Another great opportunity to create! This month make your own hockey cards using simple printmaking techniques. Just like the ones found in our latest exhibition Power Play: Hockey in Contemporary Art. Step-by-step instructions can be found here.
