Thanksgiving day service hours at the Region of Peel
Brampton, ON (October 5, 2021) – Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Monday, October 11, 2021.
The following non-emergency services are closed and will reopen on Tuesday, October 12, 2021:
- Access Peel Counters (by appointment only)
- Dental Services Contact Centre
- Early Years and Child Care Services
- Family Health Call Centre
- Healthy Sexuality Clinic
- Needle Exchange Program – Mobile Van
- Ontario Works in Peel
- Peel Living Office
Vaccination Clinics
Vaccination clinics continue to be open.

Emergency shelter, food, medication, or personal support
For urgent homelessness supports, including food, supplies, referrals, and shelter, call the Street Helpline 24/7 at 1-877-848-8481. For information on emergency shelter, visit the emergency shelter web page or call 905-450-1996.
Peel Living Maintenance Requests
For Peel Living maintenance requests, contact the 24-hour request line at 905-790-7335.
TransHelp
All trips for Monday, Oct. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 12 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10.
On Monday, Oct. 11 (Thanksgiving Day):
- TransHelp will operate from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- The TransHelp office will be closed, with regular hours resuming on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
Passengers can book on Sunday Oct. 10 for trips on Wednesday, Oct. 13.

Public Transit
Visit Brampton Transit and Mississauga Transit for holiday schedules.
Waste collection Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon
There will be no waste collection on Monday, Oct. 11. Waste will be collected one day later that week. Check your collection calendar to find your pickup day or sign up to receive free waste collection reminders.
All Community Recycling Centres are closed on Monday, Oct. 11, and will reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)
PAMA is temporarily closed until early 2022 to conduct upgrades to the facility. However, families can participate virtually in fun activities, downloadable from the PAMA@Home webpage! You can also take a tour of our virtual exhibitions or go behind the scenes.
