Yard waste collection begins the week of March 8 across the Region
Brampton, ON (March 1, 2021) – Residents in the cities of Brampton, Mississauga, and urban areas in the Town of Caledon are advised that yard waste collection starts the week of March 8. Residents in rural areas of Caledon will have their yard waste picked up on designated Fridays.
Residents can check their collection calendar to find their pick-up day or sign up to receive free weekly waste collection reminders at peelregion.ca/waste/reminders.
As a reminder:
- Yard waste must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on your collection day.
- Put yard waste at the curb in kraft yard waste bags (plastic bags not accepted), or containers that are clearly labelled "yard waste" by marker or sticker.
- Peel Region no longer accepts grass clippings at the curb or at Community Recycling Centres.
- Leaves and yard raking's with debris (including spring dead grass), tree trimmings, branches, brush, hedge trimmings are accepted as yard waste.
