Region of Peel will require vendors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

BRAMPTON, ON (Dec. 6, 2021) – The Region of Peel will require its current vendors, service providers and contractors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a legally valid exemption.

A Vendor Vaccination Policy is an additional health and safety measure that will help protect the health, safety and wellbeing of Regional employees, partners and the broader Peel community and reduce the spread of COVID-19. It’s consistent with Public Health guidance and similar policies implemented by organizations such as Public Services and Procurement Canada and The City of Toronto.

Vendors with current or existing contracts have been asked to confirm, by Dec. 17, 2021, that their personnel have been fully vaccinated by completing a Vendor Vaccination Attestation Form. Vendors who fail to confirm their vaccination may not be permitted to have contractor personnel attend any Peel worksites.

This policy will help ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone at our Regional worksites. Thanks to all of our vendors and service providers for helping us reduce the spread of COVID-19.
