Reduced extended hours for Community Recycling Centres as of September

BRAMPTON, ON. (Aug. 31, 2020) – As a measure to manage costs, residents in the cities of Brampton, Mississauga and the Town of Caledon are advised that certain Peel Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) that currently provide extended hours, will have a reduced schedule beginning in September.

Effective September 8, 2020, extended hours for these locations will be available as follows:

Extended hours will only be available until the week of October 26.

Please note, extended hours at the Fewster CRC will end for the season on September 3, and there are no evening hours as per usual at the Bolton and Caledon CRCs.

CRCs offer residents an opportunity to donate reusable goods, recycle materials as well as dispose of household hazardous waste and garbage in a safe, environmentally friendly and efficient manner. In response to COVID-19, some services continue to be unavailable and residents are reminded to visit peelregion.ca/waste/community-recycling-centres for a list of all affected service changes.

Residents are also reminded that for the continued safety of the community and employees, CRCs have implemented measures of physical distancing and have limited the number of vehicles allowed into the CRCs at any one time. As such, residents should be aware that there may be delays.
