Let's Talk about Trash Weekend and Free Family Day Fun at PAMA
BRAMPTON, ON (Feb. 11, 2020) – Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives’ (PAMA) upcoming Family Day weekend features a repair café, waste panel discussion and other family fun activities.
Saturday, Feb. 15
- Repair Café in Partnership of Sheridan Mission Zero, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Repair Cafés are free gatherings that are all about repairing things together! Volunteers will not only help you fix your items, they will also show you how to do the repairs. Repair Cafés aim to change society’s throw away mindset and reduce the amount of waste we send to the landfill or incineration.
- Let’s Talk About Trash: Waste Reduction Panel, 1 – 3 p.m.
Waste Reduction & Climate Change Panel featuring local advocates who will discuss the various initiatives and contributions that can be made for a waste wise future in Peel.
Sunday, Feb. 16
- Family Sunday FUNday, 1 – 4 p.m.
Engage with art through special activities based on the exhibitions and themes throughout the Art Gallery, Museum and Archives. This month bring in your own t-shirt to create a reusable bag.
Monday, Feb. 17, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Free admission day)
- Musical performances from Junkestra with Mark Sepic at 11 a.m., 12:30 and 2 p.m.
- Digital Graffiti Wall
- Colouring Room
- Bottle Cap Castanets
- Fingerprint Family Tree
PAMA is a place to explore and learn about Peel Region’s culture and heritage, as well as use conversation, questions and stories to help make new and fascinating connections to the surrounding community.
