Please join us as we break ground and begin construction on the Seniors Health and Wellness Village at Peel Manor. This event will feature remarks from dignitaries, a ceremonial groundbreaking, cake cutting and hard hat signing.
The new Seniors Health and Wellness Village at Peel Manor is being built next to the current building at 525 Main St. N., Brampton. The building will include a 177-bed long-term care centre, expanded Adult Day Services and a service hub. The hub will include community spaces and integrated health and social services. Once complete, the old building will be removed and replaced with a new, revitalized park space. The building is set to be complete in 2021 and the park in 2022.
Peel Manor has been serving the community since 1898. It began as a house of refuge and is now a long-term care home. The centre is home to 177 people and hosts Adult Day Services and Meals on Wheels serving Brampton.
Spokespeople will be made available for interviews. High quality renderings of the Seniors Health and Wellness Village at Peel Manor are available. A video walkthrough and additional project information are available at peelregion.ca/peelmanorredevelopment.
