Holiday service hours at the Region of Peel

Brampton, ON. (December 17, 2019)Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the holidays from Wednesday Dec. 25, 2019 to Wednesday Jan. 1, 2020, inclusive.

Waste collection

Residents are advised that during the week of Dec. 25, all recycling, garbage and organics collection will take place two days later than your regular collection day. Please note that waste will be collected on Saturday for residents with a regular Thursday collection day. During the week of Jan. 1, all recycling, garbage and organics collection will be one day later than your regular collection day. Check your collection calendar to find your day or sign up to receive free weekly waste collection reminders.

Community Recycling Centres (CRCs)

All CRCs will be closed Wednesday Dec. 25, Thursday Dec. 26 and Wednesday Jan. 1, 2020. All CRCs will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 31. The CRCs will operate on regular hours from Friday, Dec. 27 to Monday, Dec. 30 and return to regular hours on Thursday Jan. 2, 2020. Find your CRC location and hours open.

Regular hours will resume for all Public Health Services and Clinics on Thursday Jan. 2, 2020.

Human Services

Human Services Reception, Employment Resource Centres, Children’s Services Operations, Ontario Works, and Peel Living offices will be closed Wednesday Dec. 25 to Wednesday Jan. 1, 2020, and will reopen on Thursday Jan. 2, 2020. For Peel Living emergency maintenance requests, contact the 24-hour request line at 905-790-7335. Peel Access to Housing and Rent Supplement offices will be closed at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and reopen on Thursday Jan. 2, 2020. TransHelp

All specific trips for Wednesday Dec. 25, Thursday Dec. 26 and Friday, Dec. 27 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24.

Flexible trips will not be accommodated after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24 or any time of day on Wednesday Dec. 25 and Thursday Dec. 26.

All specific trips for Wednesday Jan. 1, 2020 and Thursday Jan. 2, 2020 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Flexible trips will not be accommodated after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31 or any time of day on Wednesday Jan. 1, 2020.

On Wednesday Dec. 25 (Christmas Day), Thursday Dec. 26 (Boxing Day) and Wednesday Jan. 1, 2020 (New Year’s Day):

The TransHelp office will be closed between Wednesday Dec. 25 and Wednesday Jan. 1, 2020 and will reopen on Thursday Jan. 2, 2020.

Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)

PAMA will close early (2 p.m.) on Tuesday, Dec. 24. PAMA will be closed on Wednesday Dec. 25 and Thursday Dec. 26. PAMA will close early (2 p.m.) on Tuesday, Dec. 31 and will be closed on Wednesday Jan.1, 2020.
