Respiratory virus report
Current status of COVID-19, influenza, and other respiratory viruses in Peel.
With the return of several common respiratory viruses, the COVID-19 dashboard has been retired. Peel trends and information for this 2023 to 2024 respiratory illness season will be included in the Respiratory Virus Activity Report. This report includes data from wastewater monitoring in Peel.
November 26, 2023 to December 2, 2023
- Indicators for respiratory illnesses are increasing; influenza activity has increased from week 47 and COVID-19 activity remains high.
- Weekly hospital admission rates among Peel residents due to influenza-like illness, respiratory, or pneumonia syndromes increased in week 48 for individuals aged 65+.
