Project 23-1340 D - July 29, 2024 update
Streets affected: Central Park Drive, Greenmount Road, Gulliver Crescent, Greenwood Crescent, Grenadier Road, Groveland Crescent, Groveland Court, and Grovetree Place
Notice of road paving
Peel Region will be repairing the road where it was disturbed by our recent watermain construction. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your cooperation while we finish this work.
Schedule
We expect road paving activities to take place on the following dates:
- Central Park Drive: July 29 to July 31
- Gulliver Crescent: August 1 to August 2
- Greenwood Crescent: August 6
- Grenadier Road: August 7
- Groveland Crescent: August 8 to August 9
- Groveland Court: August 8 to August 9
- Grovetree Place: August 12
- Greenmount Road: August 13 to August 16
Regular working hours will be Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Road paving activities may be delayed due to weather conditions, as paving cannot take place when the ground is saturated with water, or the temperature is below 3°C.
Parking and driveway access
Please do not park on the street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. when paving is scheduled for your street. Please ensure the road is cleared of vehicles (and any type of materials) at these times.
While your street is being paved, you may not have access to your driveway for a short time. As the paving work approaches your home, it is recommended to park on another street.
To provide an alternate parking location, we have arranged for a street parking enforcement exemption from the City of Brampton for Greenmount Road, Gulliver Crescent, Greenwood Crescent, Grenadier Road, Groveland Crescent, Groveland Court and Grovetree Place. This exemption is valid until September 30, 2024. Please note that all other parking laws remain in place, including proper clearance from hydrants and stop signs.
Traffic impacts
We may need to reduce traffic to a single lane during paving activities. Work will be phased to minimize traffic disruption in the area. If we must reroute traffic, we will place signs giving directions.
Safety during construction
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
