Project 22-4680 - October 14, 2025 update

Streets affected: Finch Avenue from Steeles Avenue to Highway 427 intersection

Asphalt paving

Peel Region will be paving asphalt Finch Avenue, from Steeles Ave to Highway 427 to improve existing road pavement.

This work is scheduled to take place during the day between October 16th and October 24th, 2025, weather permitting.

Traffic impacts

To complete the works, partial road closures and lane restrictions on Finch Ave are required between 6:00AM and 7:00PM for 2 days, as noted below.

• Partial closures on the Southbound traffic. During this time, 1 lane will be kept open for the Southbound traffic.
• Partial closures on the Northbound traffic. During this time, 1 lane will be kept open for the Northbound traffic.
• There may be truck and transit bus turning restrictions at Kenview Blvd and Darcel Ave intersections for 2 days until fully paved.

We understand that this work will cause inconvenience, and every effort will be made to minimize the impacts to the extent possible. However, due to the limitations of the works location, it may be expected that the impact to traffic and delays will be substantial. Please try your best to avoid the intersection, if possible, during the specified times.
