Streets affected: Winston Churchill Boulevard at Hornsgate Drive, Mississauga

Notice of temporary road closure

Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to line and rehabilitate the existing storm sewer on Winston Churchill Boulevard at Hornsgate Boulevard. This work is required to maintain and improve existing storm sewer services.

At this stage in the project, a temporary road closure and lane reduction will be required to complete this work.

Traffic impacts

• Hornsgate Boulevard will be closed to all through traffic at the intersection of Winston Churchill Boulevard. This temporary road closure is expected to occur from Monday August 26, 2024 until Sunday September 1, 2024.

A detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Please see the attached map for the detour route. Residents who live on the streets will have access to their homes.

As we need to remove the top of the maintenance hole on Winston Churchill to accommodate the lining it will not be possible to turn left or right from Winston Churchill onto Hornsgate Boulevard or left or right from Hornsgate onto Winston Churchill Boulevard

During this time, traffic will be directed by police officers or flag persons. Emergency service vehicles and will be permitted to cross through the closure with guidance from the onsite contractor.
