Notice of restoration
Peel Region will be repairing the trail path and sod (grass) following the rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer along Ninth Line and Lisgar Meadow Brook Trail.
Restoration schedule
Restoration work will start in mid-June on Lisgar Meadow Brook Trail. Most of the trail will remain open during this time, but a section of the trail between Osprey Boulevard and Britannia Road West will be closed starting on June 11, 2025, as shown on the attached map. We plan to complete all work by July 2025, weather permitting. This will take approximately 2 weeks.
Please note that repairs may be delayed due to contractor availability or weather conditions. For example, in summer, we may need to postpone sod replacement due to hot, dry weather.
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Capital Sewer Services Inc. and supported by consultant AECOM Canada ULC., both under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your neighbourhood.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Visit peelregion.ca/workzonesafety for more information.
Replacing grassy areas
The contractor will replace any damaged sod along the trail and will take care of it for 30 days following restoration.
Warranty on construction repairs
All work is warrantied for two years from the completion date.
It is normal for repaired areas to settle. Let us know if you notice large holes forming where the path was repaired, and we’ll ensure the path is fixed before the warranty period ends.
