The Region of Peel has been working in your neighbourhood to replace the aging sanitary sewer just north of Fair Birch Drive, along Lornewood Creek. This work is required to maintain and improve existing wastewater services. As part of this work, we will be safely abandoning the existing sewer along Lornewood Creek.
At this stage, the Region of Peel will be conducting a field investigation to assist in the procurement of the works. This investigation will require access onto the sewer easement in this area. The sewer easement is where the Region of Peel has obtained legal permission to cross your land for the purpose of maintaining Regional infrastructure. The easement is shown in pink on the map below.
Entry onto the easement will be from Birchview Drive and/or Fair Birch Drive.
During this investigation you may see orange vested staff walking along the length of the easement, taking photos and/or measurements.
This investigation is scheduled to take place at 2PM on December 14th, 2023, weather permitting.
