Project 18-2300 C - July 14, 2022 update

Streets affected: Fair Birch Drive and Birchview Drive, Mississauga

The Region of Peel has started working in your neighbourhood to replace the aging sanitary sewer just north of Fair Birch Drive, along Lornewood Creek. This work is required to maintain and improve existing wastewater services.

Construction hours update

For the remainder of the project, some work may take place Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. This will allow for the work to be completed on schedule if any unforeseen delays are encountered. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but shorter work weeks would require your neighbourhood to be under construction for a longer period of time. Our contractor will be working within the terms and conditions of the City of Mississauga Noise By-Law.

Noise

We do not anticipate noise or vibrations above normal construction levels during these operations. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to local residents as much as possible.

Safety during construction

Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
