Notice of traffic impacts

Streets affected: Goreway Drive/Humberwest Parkway at Queen Street East

Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to install watermains and sanitary sewer pipes along Queen Street East. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services.

At this stage in the project, temporary lane reductions will be required as follows:

Humberwest Parkway as noted below will be extended to December 31st, 2024.
Goreway Drive as noted between November 13th and December 31st, 2024.

Traffic impacts – Humberwest Parkway north of Queen Street East:

Northbound Humberwest Parkway will be reduced to two lanes from Queen Street East to just south of Goreway Drive.
- The multi-use path / sidewalk in this area will remain open with partial diversion to the curb lane.
The Brampton Transit bus stops in this area will remain unaffected, including:
- Humberwest Parkway Route 5: Stop ID 2486.
Two lanes of traffic in each direction will always remain open, unless notified otherwise.
Digital road signs will remain in place throughout the work and will be updated accordingly.

Traffic Impacts – Goreway Drive south of Queen Street East:

Between 7am and 3pm Northbound Goreway Drive will be reduced to one lane between Auction Lane and Queen St.
Between 3pm and 7am Northbound Goreway Drive will be reduced to two lanes between Auction Lane and Queen St.
An alternative detour route (Westbound Auction Lane) for the traffic from Northbound Goreway Drive to Westbound Queen St East will be clearly marked with road signs
The multi-use path / sidewalk on the east side of Goreway Dr. will be closed in this area.
Goreway Drive Route 5: Stop ID 2485 will be temporarily closed.
All driveway access will be maintained.
One southbound left through lane will occasionally be closed.
Digital road signs will remain in place throughout the work and will be updated accordingly.
