Project 18-1169 – February 16, 2024 update 2
Streets affected: Intersections of McVean Drive at Ebenezer Rd and Queen Street East at Cherrycrest Drive
Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to install watermains and sanitary sewer pipes along Queen Street East. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services.
At this stage in the project, a temporary lane reduction will be required from February 26 to March 15th.
Traffic impacts
- Eastbound Ebenezer Road and northbound McVean Drive will be reduced to one lane on both sides of the McVean Drive at Ebenezer Road intersection.
- The northbound multi-use path / sidewalk on McVean Drive between Queen Street East and Ebenezer Road in this area will be partially closed with pedestrian detoured to the west with required signage in place.
- Westbound Queen Street East will be reduced to two lanes and northbound Cherrycrest Drive will be reduced to one lane at the north and east legs of the Cherrycrest Drive at Queen Street East intersection.
- The northbound multi-use path / sidewalk on Cherrycrest Drive from Queen Street East to approximately 50m north in this area will be partially closed with pedestrian detoured to the west with required signage in place.
- The Brampton Transit bus stops in this area will remain unaffected, including:
- McVean Drive Route 31: Stop ID 3603.
- The lane closure will be in effect during the day only and all northbound McVean Drive lanes will be open after 2pm.
- Digital road signs will remain in place throughout the work and will be updated accordingly.
We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these traffic impacts.
