Project 16-2905 A2 - Notice public information centre
Background
The Region of Peel is planning to replace the existing forcemain along Watersedge Rd, Country Club Cr, Meadow Wood Rd, and Orr Rd in the summer of 2025. The current pipe is in poor condition and has reached the end of its service life. To maintain high-quality wastewater services, we are upgrading the system by installing new sanitary forcemains. As infrastructure ages and our population continues to grow, replacing aging sewers is essential. This work will help reduce the risk of future breaks and basement flooding, improve system capacity and reliability, and strengthen the overall resiliency of the sanitary sewer network.
Process
Twin sanitary forcemains will be installed using open-cut construction along Watersedge Road, Country Club Crescent, Meadow Wood Road, and Orr Road to replace the aging infrastructure. The proposed forcemain alignment is highlighted in Figure 1 below.
