Project 14-1256 A – January 12, 2026 update
Streets affected: Williams Parkway between Dixie Road and McLaughlin Road
Construction work in your area
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region will be installing a new watermain along Williams Parkway, as shown on the attached map. Watermains are underground pipes that bring tap water from our water treatment facility to your neighbourhood. As our population grows, we need to build larger watermains to provide you with high-quality water.
Construction schedule
Construction is planned to start in late February / early March 2026 and finish in early 2028. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events.
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Erritt Construction Ltd. under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your neighbourhood. Construction will be completed underground in tunnels and will not require digging trenches. Aboveground activities will mainly be limited to a few fenced areas.
Traffic impacts
We will need to reduce traffic to a single lane in some construction areas. Signage will be placed in advance of all lane closures. Drivers should expect traffic delays during peak hours and consider alternative routes if possible.
Temporary trail and soccer field closures
The Armbro Park soccer fields will be closed during construction and will reopen when work is complete. Refer to the attached map for closed areas.
The existing construction compound within Newcastle Park will continue to be used, and the path will stay open.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
