Notice of Public Information Centre 2 - May 2, 2022
Peel Region is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study to identify, develop and implement a solution to address future capacity needs and existing sanitary sewer issues in the Etobicoke Creek Trunk Sanitary Sewer. The study area for this Schedule C EA, as shown in the map below, is from Kennedy Rd. in the City of Brampton to Derry Rd. in the City of Mississauga.
The existing Etobicoke Creek Trunk Sewers service a large area extending north of Mayfield Rd., which is projected to grow by approximately 40
percent. Therefore, this study is to ensure reliable sanitary service is provided to existing and future growth in this area.
Your input is important
Due to current Covid 19 concerns, Online Public Engagement has been arranged to provide members of the public an overview of the Class EA process and to solicit feedback on the preferred design concept and the supporting evaluation and technical studies.
Display boards will be made available to the public on the project webpage and select Brampton, beginning May 18, 2022. Paper copies of the display boards will be made available upon request.
Following the online Public Engagement No. 2, the project team will review public comments and finalize the selection of the design concept for the preferred solution. In late summer 2022, the Environmental Study Report will be completed and placed on public record for 30-day review.
Please submit any questions or comments, to the Project Manager, by June 1, 2022.
