About the project
Peel Region is undertaking a Complete Corridor Study and Preliminary Design to improve Highway 50 from Queen Street East to The Gore Road. The objective of the study is to transform the road into a “complete corridor” that accommodates all modes of transportation, including walking, cycling, and motor vehicles, while enhancing safety, accessibility, the public realm, and overall road operations.
Potential improvements may include:
- New or upgraded active transportation facilities
- Intersection and roadway upgrades
- Enhanced street lighting
- Improved stormwater management
- Measures to keep infrastructure in good condition
