Your voice, your vote
You must be 18 year or older, a Canadian citizen, and an Ontario resident to be able to vote. Check your status or register online, at your local election office, or when you go to vote.
On election day, polls are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at your assigned voting based on your home address.
When you arrive, check in with a poll official and show valid ID to receive your ballot. Then, go behind the voting screen and mark an “X” for one candidate. Once you’ve made your choice, return the ballot to the poll official, who will place it in the ballot box or tabulator.
Important dates
- February 17: Register to get your voter card
