    Equity Fund

    Status: Open

    The purpose of the Equity Fund is to provide short-term support that helps strengthen organizations, build community capacity and advance equity outcomes across the region.

    Application deadline: September 30, 2026, at 5 p.m.

    Building Safer Communities Fund Expression of Interest

    Status: Open

    The Building Safer Communities Fund provided by Public Safety Canada aims to support coordinated, community-driven approaches to youth violence prevention. Aligned with Peel's Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Plan, funding is available to support initiatives with a strategic focus on children and youth 0 to 24 years, with a particular emphasis on middle childhood (7 to14 years). Collaborative proposals are encouraged from community organizations interested in leading and delivering initiatives from 2026 to 2029 across the following priority initiatives: youth agency, youth housing, youth hubs and microgrants.

    Organizations interested in applying are encouraged to email cswb@peelregion.ca to request the full EOI package or ask any questions.

    CSWB Seed Funding

    Status: Closed

    Through Peel’s Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Plan, community-based not-for-profit organizations can submit an Expression of Interest for funding to lead initiatives in child, youth and family events, redevelopment of Peel Youth Charter, and roadmap to middle childhood.

    2025-2026 Food Security Fund

    Status: Closed

    The purpose of the 2025–2026 Food Security Fund is to support community organizations address the urgent and growing issue of food insecurity in Peel. By investing in both emergency food access and capacity-building, the fund helps non-profit agencies deliver immediate relief and strengthen initiatives to improve food security outcomes across the region.

    The fund supports two priority areas:

    • Stream 1: Emergency Food Access: Improve the capacity of organizations to deliver urgent food support to residents facing food insecurity.
    • Stream 2: Building Community and Individual Capacity: Investing in initiatives that strengthen long-term food security, including culturally appropriate food programs, community food networks, and skills-building.
