Municipal infrastructure
Building and maintaining Peel's infrastructure is essential to enhancing the quality of life enjoyed by Peel residents.
Peel is a fast-growing municipality.
Infrastructure projects – including roads, bridges, transit, housing, water and wastewater, and waste management – benefit Peel's communities by creating jobs and providing an active transportation network and will play a key role in stimulating Peel’s economic recovery.
Building and maintaining critical municipal infrastructure is also becoming more difficult due to unpredictable and unsustainable funding sources.
Actions we're taking
We're asking the provincial and federal governments to work alongside us to:
- Plan, build, and maintain the infrastructure required to meet the needs of Peel's communities, including green infrastructure projects.
- Implement an allocation model so critical funding can flow more quickly to the communities that need it most.
