Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer
The Regional Chair (the Chair) is the political head of Peel Region and the Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Corporation, as well as Chair of the Police Services Board and Chair of the Public Health Board. The Chair is elected by the 24 members of Regional Council to preside over meetings of Council and to ensure its decisions are implemented.
Nando Iannicca is the Regional Chair for the 2022-2026 term.
Chair Iannicca presides over Peel Region Council meetings and ensures its decisions are implemented. He represents Peel Region at community events and in dealings with other levels of government and liaises with employees through the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Gary Kent
Chief Administrative Officer
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is the most senior staff position in the organization.
Reporting to the Regional Chair and Peel Region Council, the CAO is responsible for the for the overall management of the Regional Corporation, including the administration of the capital and operating budgets.
As CAO, Gary Kent oversees employees, service delivery, and infrastructure investments for over 1.6 million residents and 200,000 businesses.

Commissioners
The CAO and Commissioners work together to implement Council’s Strategic Plan and direction. They also ensure desired outcomes are achieved and set and monitor priorities. Together they make strategic and operational decisions that impact the entire organization.

As Peel Region's Chief Financial Officer and Commissioner of Corporate Services, Davinder oversees several divisions, including Information and Technology, Human Resources, Strategic Communications, Culture and Inclusion, and Climate Change and Energy Management.
