Celebrate Earth Month with us
Peel Region is celebrating Earth Month in April.
Earth Month is a time to reflect on the connection between people and nature.
It’s also a time to take action for a more sustainable future: meeting our current needs without affecting how future generations will meet their needs.
We’re showing our commitment to reducing energy use and providing sustainable long-term solutions through:
- Greening our corporate fleet of vehicles to reduce emissions.
- Generating energy using solar and producing multiple forms of energy from a single fuel source (cogeneration).
- LED lighting retrofits at the Peel Integrated Waste Management facility.
This Earth Month, get tips on how to reduce waste and how to be more water efficient through unique, behind-the-scenes virtual tours of our waste and water facilities.
