Enterprise Asset Management
Established in 2007, Peel Region’s Enterprise Asset Management Program (EAM):
- Ensures responsible stewardship of Peel’s critical infrastructure assets.
- Is a key component of long-term planning.
- Develops sustainable plans to maintain assets for up to 100 years, supporting Council’s service level targets and financial strategies.
Ensuring affordable essential services
EAM ensures that Peel Region’s wide range of essential services — water and wastewater systems, transportation infrastructure, waste management facilities, long-term care centers, paramedic stations, and affordable housing — are continually high-quality and affordable.
A proactive and structured approach
Peel Region aligns its EAM program with international standards like ISO 55000 to enhance effectiveness and advance from an "Establishing" to a "Competent" maturity rating.
EAM follows a risk-based approach that is integrated with the Peel Region Strategic Plan and Long-Term Financial Planning Strategy. This reinforces Peel Region’s commitment to sustainability, continuous improvement, and resilience.
By taking this proactive and structured approach, Peel Region ensures its infrastructure assets continue to meet the evolving needs of the community.
Peel Region’s risk-based approach to asset management supports its long-term goal of Community for Life.
