Option 1: Peel Community Recycling Centre (CRC)
- Remove the propane tank from the barbeque.
- Take the empty or full propane tank to a Peel Community Recycling Centre (CRC) HHW Depot for safe disposal free of charge.
- Take the barbeque to the CRC platform for disposal. A disposal fee will apply.
Option 2: Scrap metal collector
- Barbeques can be recycled as scrap metal. Find a scrap metal collector in your area.
- Take the empty or full propane tank to a Peel Community Recycling Centre (CRC) HHW Depot for safe disposal free of charge.
Option 3: Garbage
- Remove the propane tank then place the barbeque on the curb on your regular garbage collection day. Find your collection calendar.
- Take the empty or full propane tank to a Peel Community Recycling Centre (CRC) HHW Depot for safe disposal free of charge.
Additional information:
- The Salvation Army Thrift Store, the Salvation Army Thrift Store Donor Welcome Centres, and the Bolton CRC Evolve Lifestyle store provide reuse services to Peel residents.
- Scrap metal up to 2.4 m (8 ft) in length is accepted at all CRCs free of charge.
- Peel CRCs accept HHW items free of charge from residents of Peel.
